Big Picture
When an online request is submitted, an email is automatically sent back to the requester, an email is sent to one or more designated points of contact, and the information is placed into a database. The database is available for viewing via web browser Reports. The requests are tracked and updated to eventual closure. The power of this system is that it is HTML and Perl based. This architecture approach allows for infinite growth as the organization changes allowing users to tune this system to their enterprise and each individual project.
In the past 30 years much has happened to the Internet and the Computer revolution. While there are many new services available to the average person, the software cottage industry both inside companies as internal departments and outside companies as vendors is gone. It is the software cottage industry concept that allowed for the massive Computer and Internet revolution to happen. The one size fits all tools are not able to support what is really needed in many organizations.
So what is the difference between these tools of the 21st century and tools like URMT?
URMT allows staff to access simple software code and HTML pages to completely sculpt URMT to their unique needs. Generic tools today do not allow users to access the internals and so they are unable to match the power of starting with a firm foundation like URMT and then making the changes to perfectly match the needs of each organization. A generic tool with massive bells and whistles that tries to meet all markets is not only bloated that slows down work, but it always misses the mark for all organizations and their needs. The organizations need to compromise to the generic tool limitations. They become slaves to the tool rather than the tool empowering them to reach new levels of automation and operations.

For the Reports, after you login, select the Find All checkbox, then pick the project example. If you submit a request, it will be processed but no action will be taken. We will eventually clean the database to remove your requests. Once you view the report(s) you will not be able to modify them. Modifications are a separate credential provided to certain team members and are not enabled for the online demo.
