Download URMT
These instructions describe how to download, install, start, activate and
shutdown URMT.
Download Instructions

Create a C:\z-places\shareware\urmt directory tree on your computer

Open File Explorer (press Windows key + letter E together or double click
folder in your task bar)

Double Click the C: drive
-
Select New Folder option at the top of File Explorer and name it
z-places
-
Go inside z-places, Select New Folder and name it
shareware
-
Go inside shareware, Select New Folder and name it urmt
-
You will now have a C:\z-places\shareware\urmt directory tree
-
Download the urmt.zip file by selecting one of these links to
Download Current Version or Other
Versions
-
If you are prevented from downloading the .zip version
-
Download the .freedom version
-
Rename it to .zip once the download completes
-
Let us know if .freedom is not there and you need it
-
Place the downloaded urmt.zip file in
C:\z-places\shareware\urmt (e.g. C:\z-places\shareware\urmt\urmt.zip)

You should always know where your browser downloads your files
-
If you don't know, use the Internet to find out where the downloads are located
and how to move them to other locations
-
Select the downloaded urmt.zip file, right click, select properties,
and pick the UNBLOCK option if it is displayed
-
The Internet has information on this subject
-
You must UNBLOCK downloaded files or they will not execute on your computer
-
If UNBLOCK is not displayed in the General tab, it was never blocked
-
This is done by each individual computer configuration
-
Download is complete
Installation on your PC
-
unzip the downloaded urmt.zip file by right clicking on the file and
selecting Extract All or Expand
-
Once file is extracted, go inside the urmt folder, there should be:

AOLPRESS folder
-
apache folder
-
urmt folder
-
install.bat
-
uninstall.bat
-
Double click install.bat, follow the instructions to the end
-
This completes the installation
-
To uninstall URMT, go back to this location and double click
uninstall.bat
Installation on your network / website
You will need to transfer files to and from the webserver using FTP. The
recommended tool is FileZilla.

Complete the installation on your computer

Create z-places\[domain name]\urmt directory on your computer (e.g.
C:\z-places\cassbeth\urmt)
-
Copy urmt directory from z-places\shareware\urmt to
C:\z-places\[domain name]\urmt
-
You will need to change the Perl location for all the .cgi and
.pl files in loc-bin
-
Go to C:\z-places\[domain name]\urmt\loc-bin
-
Open all the .cgi and ,pl files
-
Change the location of perl at the top of each file to the perl location
on the webserver
-
Start your FTP program (filezilla) and connect to your webserver
-
Create a urmt directory in public_html (public_html/urmt)
-
Upload all the files
-
Go to loc-bin
-
Select all the .cgi and .pl files and change the permissions
to 755
-
Installation is complete for your webserver
-
In the future you can move all these files to your cgi-bin directory but
that will require changes to the perl scripts
PC Start URMT
-
Go to C:\z-cassbeth\urmt
-
Look for starturmt.bat, this is what starts and stops the URMT in
a DOS window
-
Look for the URMT shortcut, it points to starturmt.bat
-
This is the shortcut used to start URMT, it opens the URMT DOS window
-
The URMT shortcut is also on your desktop
-
Go to your desktop and double click the URMT shortcut to start URMT
-
Follow the instructions for the startup sequence in the DOS window
-
When the Apache server starts, another DOS window opens that runs Apache
-
Move or minimize the Apache window so that you can continue with the start
up sequence
-
Continue with the startup sequence in the URMT DOS window until the browser
opens and goes to URMT
For Chrome, if localhost is blocked enter URL:
-
Enter in the URL area: chrome://flags/#allow-insecure-localhost
-
Make sure it is Enabled, then Restart Chrome
-
This is constantly changing, use another browser if it is a problem (firefox,
seamonkey, etc.)
Note: URMT on a network webserver does not start because the webserver is
always running Apache. Just go to the urmt URL location and the webpage loads
and all the software executes.
Activation Keys - for PC and webserver installations

The first time URMT is started, you will be prompted for activation keys
-
Enter the keys and accept the license statement
-
URMT is now activated and ready to use
Your Activation Keys Are provided in a separate email.
Licensee: xxxx
Product Code: xxxx
Shutdown URMT on your PC
-
To shutdown URMT, return to the URMT DOS window and press any key to continue
until all DOS windows close
-
This shuts down the Apache server
-
The browser is still open, but if your reload the page it will show that
the site is no longer available
-
Close the browser
Note: Does not apply to webserver installations because the webserver is
always running Apache. Just close the browser.
URMT Configuration

Once URMT is up and running, emails needed to be added and request forms
need to be added.
