Log Events show
the test data based on the actual test execution sequence. Each item is based
on actual test procedures. The "y" series reports include a req's accounting
analysis at the test case level. They contain the same information as the
filter reports when req's accounting is being analyzed.
Summary is a log
of the IAT tool performing data reduction services. Its a good indicator
of how long it takes to perform these tests. Each time a tester performs
a data reduction service, the information is logged in this report.
The s_reqreduction
report includes all the test data in this testing group. Its primary purpose
is to identify which req's were encountered or missed during this test session;
It does not show sequence. It shows as built software functionality and test
coverage.
The logevents-analysis
reports are the result of search, filter, compare, and modified data reduction
services. The compare reports show differences between test execution sequences.
These differences can be between the same or different software releases.
The filter reports show which requirements were encountered, missed, and
never instrumented. The "y" series reports also contain the same information.
The search and modified data reduction reports are ad -hoc and very unique
as dictated by the analyst.
Design flow shows
the functions called during the test execution. The design flow is read top
to bottom left to right and represents a software execution sequence showing
the actual as built sequence. The design flow can be viewed in any of the
test thread reports by enabling the function call view and submitting the
page for processing.
These reports
are used by the testers and are made available to the design organization
to aid in understanding the software. They are also made available to other
programs which might find information such as Design Flow / Re-Use Support
useful for their new efforts.
